Proposed Marihuana Ordinances

The Village Council is considering the passage of two ordinances to allow a limited number of medical and recreational marihuana businesses to operate in the B1, B2, and Industrial districts. There has been no vote on these ordinances as the Council is still weighing their options carefully. Additionally, if these ordinances are passed, an amendment to the zoning ordinance will be required to allow for these businesses to operate in the proposed districts.

Here you will find a guide to the proposed ordinances and drafts of each marihuana ordinance and the proposed zoning ordinance amendments for your review. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the Village Manager, or attend any of the upcoming meetings to voice your opinion.
